Shopping voyage

So today is the first day I've really been able to shop. I checked out some of the super cool shops on 4th ave.
I bought a dress at How Sweet it Was vintage shop. Its long velvet, and a brand I have been dying to check out. Pyramid collection! I've seen this dress on their website for $119 and I paid just over $30 I think that's a deal. :)
Pictures comming soon

I also stopped at the local Goodwill and bought a dress and a pair of killer red shoes. $10 for the dress pictured, and $5 for the shoes. Not a bad shopping day, I also stopped in a few other shops along my way, but I came home with what I wanted. :)

Day of the Dead Parade!

Ok so I attended the Day of the Dead parade here in Tucson. I must say it was epic! Literaly if the word "epic" is to ever be used, it should be used to describe this parade.
There were thousands of people, if not hundreds of thousands of people. And everyone was there for one event, one goal. To see and walk in the parade.

Thousands of people in face paint, people carring memorial signs, people taking pictures, it was an amazing feeling. It was like attending an open service to every religion you could think of. It was a positive vibe, a diffrent way to honor a person's death, or those you loved who are gone. I felt so connected, to this city, and to everyone around me.

I have never seen anything like it before, it was like the whole city came out to celebrate, remember, and to show support. I will for sure go again next year, and maybe I will even paint my face, and walk. It was truely a moving event, and if anyone visits during the parade I would suggest dropping whatever plans you have and going. Trust me you wont regret it.

P.S. I will be posting pictures later, as for right now I will be heading to bed.

Halloween!

This has been such a long day (and night). I woke up at 7am to find out about GED testing (since colleges here in Az. want proof of graduation. Being home schooled has its down sides).
Found out I must first take a pretest, since they just passed a law here requiring it. That is tomarrows plan.

My movers showed up! They were quick... like super quick. Sadly my book shelves got pretty messed up (mostly because the movers that picked them up didn't wrap them). Everything else seems ok, but I won't know for sure till its all unpacked. No out of the blue charges this time, and the guys were funny. We joked about us all being jewish, and they seemed like good people.

Got a nap in after they left, and spent some time alone. My brother, and sister in law went out, so I was a bit lonley. I miss my friends, and my boyfriend who I left back in michigan. It sucks that I had to leave everyone.

On a good note after my brother and his girl got back we headed to go trick or treating with my other brother, his daughter, and my other sister in law.
We were this big group. Lol and me and my brothers had time to talk about the good old days, when we would trick or treat with my mom. It was nice, oh and I was dressed as Super Girl, such a fun costume.

Airport!

I have made it to the airport to start the first leg of my trip. I'm flying Frontier, which is new for me but I hope it will go well. Check in was a breeze, their staff is super nice, and flying out of Grand Rapids was a great idea. Very quick and no problems at all. I'm used to flying out of Detroit which is always packed, and super slow. This is a nice change.

My last full day in my home state.

Its 3:00am on October 29th 2011, and it my last full day in michigan. There is so much to do and so little time. Its hard to think I am leaving the state where I was born, and where so many of my happy memories took place. I am excited but also scared. I want to see my family so bad, but what if I don't like it in Arizona? What if I can't get along with my brother (which I will be staying with)? What if I get home sick?
This will be a whole new experence for me, please wish me luck.

Movers!

Ok so I spent the last week running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I was buying my plane ticket, finding a moving company, packing, stressing, and worring I wouldn't get everything done.

Well first I have my ticket threw Fronteer airlines, they weren't the cheapest, but they are allowing me to bring 2 free check bags, and that for sure covered the little extra I am paying. I'm taking an extra check just because I went overbord packing, but its only $50 more.

The stress attack of the week came when packing for the movers. I tend to procrastinate, so I was dragging my feet on packing boxes, and left most of it till last minuet (as in last night). Bad idea! I would advise no one to ever do this. I was up all last night, and was packing up till literly the last second.

Thankfully the movers were amazing. I hired E-Z Movers, they have the nifty pink trucks. They came in marked everything, and didn't even get crappy that my stuff didn't match my invoice list (I was over by a few boxes). And they were fast! Like super fast, I was amazed they were done in like 30 min. I know I didn't have alot, but thats still amazing. They were also really nice and didn't complain that my boxes were super heavy.
I did have to pay an extra fee (long carry fee), which kinda sucked since I am low on cash, but they were cool about it, and explained it to me. Since I had looked it up online before I knew it was probley coming, and they wern't trying to pull one over on me.
I'm just gonna say I hope the guys that drop my stuff off, are this professional, and not jerks.

After the movers came I had some cider (one of the major things I will miss about Mi.), and then I went to bed, since I hadn't slept in over 30 hours.
