My first eye brow wax!

Ok, being 23 you would think I would have had my brows waxed before now. But no I was a waxing virgin. I found a great local place, and decided to give it a try. The outcome was so amazing! I can't believe I hadn't tried it before. I had such a great experence, I would recomend it to any woman with fuller or shaggy brows.

Honestly my brows aren't a problem for me, but they are full. I was always concerened they just didn't frame my eyes as well as they could. But I was afraid of the pain of waxing. I had herd horror stories, worried it would look unatural, or that I would get nasty red bumps, or lose skin with the hair. None of these worries were realized. Yes it hurt a bit, but it was quick, and over in a few seconds. My brows look natural, but shaped, and they frame my eyes like they have never before. No bumps, and I still have all my skin.

The stylist was very professional, and super nice. I will do this again< as soon as they grow out. I want to keep my new fabulous brows. :)

Shopping voyage

So today is the first day I've really been able to shop. I checked out some of the super cool shops on 4th ave.
I bought a dress at How Sweet it Was vintage shop. Its long velvet, and a brand I have been dying to check out. Pyramid collection! I've seen this dress on their website for $119 and I paid just over $30 I think that's a deal. :)
Pictures comming soon

I also stopped at the local Goodwill and bought a dress and a pair of killer red shoes. $10 for the dress pictured, and $5 for the shoes. Not a bad shopping day, I also stopped in a few other shops along my way, but I came home with what I wanted. :)

A good day

So I had a pretty good day. I woke up early and took the pratice GED test, and passed with a pretty good score. I will probley take the real test next week.
After I tested I headed over to my dad's shop, since I hadn't seen him in a while. I had good time, we worked on a car he is fixing up. I may not be great with cars, but it was nice seeing what my dad does from day to day. We had a yummy dinner (curried goat), and hung out for a while.
I didn't realize how much I missed seeing my family till I moved out here.

Denver

I just made it to my half way point, a stop in Denver. The airport is lovely, huge and very interesting. Though its kinda lonley traveling alone. I can't wait to see a firmiliar face. I'm still very tired, maybe I will nap on the next flight. I hope it goes as smoothly as the first.

Airport!

I have made it to the airport to start the first leg of my trip. I'm flying Frontier, which is new for me but I hope it will go well. Check in was a breeze, their staff is super nice, and flying out of Grand Rapids was a great idea. Very quick and no problems at all. I'm used to flying out of Detroit which is always packed, and super slow. This is a nice change.

Today is the day.

I can't sleep, in 3 hours I will be heading to the airport, and to Arizona. I'm so nervious! I'm gonna miss so much here, friends, family, my boyfriend. Please someone tell me everything will be ok....

The cost of moving

So yesterday I went to UPS to mail 11 boxes, the guys there were great. Very kind workers very professional, and helpfull. The hard part came when paying over $400 for my boxes. Granted my boxes were very very heavy, but dropping that kind of cash sucked!

Here's a sucky note so I went to FedX and they are double the price of UPS, also they refused to send all but one of my boxes. The worker said it was because "they are storage boxes, not shipping boxes" bull! Their boxes that they tried to sell me looked exactly the same as the ones I bought at WallMart, except the FedX logo on the sides.
Whatever my mom agreed to go to UPS for me on Monday. Thank god for moms!

4 days till move

4 days, just 4 days! I am a mess and so is my apartment. There is so much to do, in so little time. So much to think about, and to plan, I'm not sure how I will do it all, but it must be done. I'm so worried that I won't be ready, or will be late, or will forget, or lose something important. I just need more time! I know if I had just one more week I could do this, but let's face it we always want more time, its human nature....
